Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Requests
The Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), 5 ILCS 140/1 et seq., is a State statute that provides the public with access to records maintained by public bodies, including the Village of La Grange Park. While many records are available for inspection or copying, the Act also provides specific exemptions for certain information.
Submitting a FOIA Request
To help ensure thorough and efficient processing, the Village encourages FOIA requests to be submitted using the Village’s online FOIA Request Form for electronic submissions or the FOIA Request Form (PDF) for requests submitted by mail or in person.
Completed FOIA request forms may be submitted in person at Village Hall, by mail or electronically.
All written requests for public records will be reviewed and processed in accordance with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.
