Construction Code of Conduct
Issuance of a permit shall not be construed to be permission to violate any provisions of the code. Permits expire eighteen months after issuance unless authorized work has not begun within six months of issuance, or if work authorized by this permit is suspended or abandoned for six months after it has begun. Permit placard must be displayed in a visible location and remain until project is complete
Hours for Construction
- 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays
- 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekends and holidays*
*New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
The Village of La Grange Park expects all construction personnel to follow all rules and regulations.
Keep the Village Clean
- Do not litter
- Keep the streets and walks free of mud
- Wash down vehicles if necessary
- Keep erosion measures in place
- Do not rinse cement trucks onto pavement or into sewers
Obey Traffic Rules
- Maintain street access for residents and emergency vehicles
- Park in designated areas, not on parkway
- Keep sidewalks open for use
- Drive safely - watch for children
Respect the Environment
- Follow stormwater plan
- Maintain required fencing
- Protect neighbor and village trees
Be a Good Neighbor
- Do not trespass ever - no permit grants the right to access a neighboring property with out permission
- Keep noise levels down
- Use the portable toilet
- No open fires or burning
