Water Meter Replacement

Automatic meter reading (AMR) is the technology of automatically collecting consumption, diagnostic and status data from water meter or energy metering devices (gas, electric) and transferring that data to a central database for billing, troubleshooting and analyzing. The Village is continuing the implementation of the Water Meter Replacement and AMR System Program. The purpose of this program is to implement an automated meter reading system for all water system accounts. The new system allows water meter readings to be automatically transmitted to the Village Hall thus eliminating the need to manually read each water meter and improving accuracy, customer service and efficiency for all residents.

Contractors

Their subcontractor, United Meters Inc. (UMI) a licensed plumbing contractor, will install water meters and the meter reading system transmitters throughout the Village. UMI installers are licensed plumbers.
