Leaf Removal
2025 Fall Leaf Removal Schedule
The Village now offers a live leaf removal tracking map (during collection weeks only), allowing residents to watch the progress through each section.
Residents are advised that the schedule below is only a guideline. The Public Work’s Department will do its best to adhere to this schedule however in the event of an emergency, leaf pickup may be delayed. Should the schedule be delayed, every attempt will be made to get back on schedule as quickly as possible. During those times when the schedule is delayed your patience and understanding are appreciated.
Note: Residents who hire contractors to remove leaves from their property must ensure that the contractor hauls them away. This service is only for residents who perform the work themselves.

Program Guidelines
- Leaves must be raked into the street gutter by 6 a.m. on Monday of the collection week.
- Leaves may only be raked into the street gutter no more than one week prior to the collection week.
- Only leaves are acceptable – rake leaves in the street, approximately one foot from the curb to allow drainage to storm sewers. Do not rake leaves into one large pile
- Items Not Acceptable – grass clippings, ornamental grasses, weeds, potted and garden plants, bushes or brush, acorns, or pumpkins. Utilize the Village's Pumpkin Smashing Event on the first Saturday of November.
Enforcement - If any of the above guidelines are not followed, the Village will place a door tag on the resident's door and will not collect the leaves until the next scheduled pickup. If this happens during the last pickup, homeowners are required to rake the leaves in the street and remove them, disposing of them in an alternative manner. Fines may be issued if the above is not adhered to.
Note: In the event of snow, the Village will make every effort to finish leaf collection once snow clearing operations have been completed.
Safety: Residents parking on residential streets should exercise caution during this time, as hot automobiles can easily ignite large piles of leaves.
