John Jandak has served as Superintendent of Public Works since 2022. He joined the La Grange Park Public Works Department in 2013, and served in the positions of Maintenance Worker II and Foreman. John was previously employed with the Village of Forest Park Public Works for eight years.
John is a Certified Water Operator through the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA), and is very active in the Illinois Section American Water Works Association (ISAWWA) serving on multiple committees. John is also a Certified Arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and holds the ISA’s Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ). John is a graduate from the Illinois Public Service Institute (IPSI), and has completed advanced emergency management training at Texas A&M University. John has an associate’s degree from the College of DuPage, and is attending Northern Illinois University for a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration.
John grew up in North Riverside and currently lives in La Grange Park.
