Construction Updates - Week Ending May 31, 2024
Edgewood/Richmond Water Main Replacement Project:
The Village selected the low bidder, Unique Plumbing of Brookfield, as the contractor for the water main replacement project along Edgewood from Ogden to Woodlawn and Richmond from Park to Edgewood. The new water main will go under the east side (Edgewood) and the south (Richmond) sidewalks, which include new valves, fire hydrants, and 1½” water service from the main to the boxes.
May 31, 2024 Update:
Unique plumbing began prep work, which includes saw cutting the street, putting up tree protection, root pruning along the sidewalk edges on the east side, and receiving material. Next week, on Tuesday, the 300 block of Edgewood will be out of water for the day to make the initial connection to the existing main at Ogden.
