Village Clerk

Meghan Kooi was appointed to the position of Village Clerk in 2019 and is a 35 year resident of La Grange Park. Ms. Kooi works for Helping Hand Center as the Administrative Coordinator for their school for children with Autism.  She is also a member of Helping Hand's School Improvement Team, Instructional Development Team, Safety Committee, and Human Rights Committee.  Previously, she worked for I/O Solutions, Inc. as the Testing Coordinator for their Police and Fire Public Safety division. After graduating from Elmhurst College with a degree in English Literature, Communications, and Secondary Education, Ms. Kooi was also an 8^th grade teacher and cheerleading coach. 

As Village Clerk, Ms. Kooi is excited to have a more active role in the community in which she was raised and where she has chosen to raise her two daughters She feels that serving as Village Clerk provides an “opportunity to give back to a community that she has loved being a part of her entire life.”
