Julia Cedillo - Village Manager
Julia Cedillo was appointed Village Manager in 2011. Prior to being appointed as Village Manager, Ms. Cedillo served as La Grange Park’s Interim Village Manager and Assistant Village Manager. Ms. Cedillo also worked for the Village of Woodridge, Illinois where she spent six years in the Administration Department as the Management Analyst. She began her career as an Intern for the City of DeKalb. Ms. Cedillo received her Masters of Public Administration (MPA) with an emphasis in Public Management and Leadership from Northern Illinois University. Ms. Cedillo also received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Public Law from NIU. Ms. Cedillo currently serves on the Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency (IRMA) Executive Board and on the Metropolitan Managers Association Board. She is a member of the International City County Management Association (ICMA), the Illinois City County Management Association (ILCMA) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Emily Rodman - Assistant Village Manager
Emily Rodman has served as the Assistant Village Manager since 2011. Prior to joining the Village, Ms. Rodman served as the Senior Planner for the Village Woodridge for six years and as a Planner for two years. Ms. Rodman received her Masters of Science in Urban and Regional Planning with an emphasis in Economic Development and Community Development from the University of Iowa. She also received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts in German and an International Business Certificate from the University of Iowa. Ms. Rodman holds her American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Certification. She is a member of the American Planning Association (APA), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Illinois City County Management Association (ILCMA), the Illinois Association of Municipal Management Assistants (IAMMA), and the Illinois Tax Increment Association (ITIA).
Larry Noller - Director of Finance
Larry Noller joined the Village of La Grange Park in April 2014. Mr. Noller has ten years of municipal experience and previously served as the Assistant Finance Director for both the City of Wheaton and the Village of Glen Ellyn. He has a Master of Public Administration from Northern Illinois University with a specialization in fiscal administration. He is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and the Illinois Government Finance Officers Association (IGFOA).
Dean J. Maggos - Director of Fire, Building and Emergency Management
Dean J. Maggos began his fire service training in 1980, and has been with the Village of La Grange Park since 2001. He serves as the Director of Fire, Building and Emergency Management. Mr. Maggos previously served as the Fire Marshal for the Village of Lombard, and as a Fire Inspector/Investigator for the Pleasantview Fire Protection District. He also served as a paid-on-call Deputy Fire Chief with the Lyons Fire Department, serving with that department for 17 years.
Mr. Maggos received a Master of Science degree in Public Safety Administration from Lewis University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Science Management from Southern Illinois University. He also has an A.A.S. in Fire Science Technology from Triton College and completed coursework in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology at Oklahoma State University. He is a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program. Mr. Maggos is certified in the State of Illinois as a Chief Fire Officer, Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Prevention Officer, and Licensed Emergency Medical Technician Level B. He was named Fire Investigator of the Year in 1995 for the MABAS (Mutual Aid Box Alarm System) Division 10 Origin and Cause Team. He previously served as the President of MABAS Division 10 and currently serves as the Chief Liaison to the MABAS Division 10 Hazardous Materials Team. Mr. Maggos was a delegate of the Chief Officer Manual 3rd Edition Validation Committee through the International Fire Service Training Association. He also serves as the Treasurer of the Cook County Fire Chiefs Association, and is a member of the following organizations: National Fire Protection Association, International Code Council, Illinois Fire Inspectors Association, Illinois Fire Chiefs Association, and the International Association of Fire Chiefs.
Ed Rompa - Chief of Police
Ed Rompa has served as the Chief of Police since November 2014. He has been with the La Grange Park Police Department since 1999 – serving as its Commander since 2005. He previously served as a Sergeant, Officer in Charge, Detective and as a Police Officer. Mr. Rompa is a graduate of the Staff and Command School of Northwestern University, and the Management of Small Law Enforcement Agency Program of the Southern Police Institute, University of Louisville. He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of St. Francis. Mr. Rompa is a Certified Instructor through NEMERT (North East Multi Regional Training), a division of the Illinois Training and Standards Board. He is also an administrative member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, West Suburban Chiefs of Police (WSCP), Illinois Association of Law Enforcement Executives (IALEE), and Northern Illinois Police Alarm System (NIPAS). Finally, Mr.Rompa is certified in Firearms Instruction, Tactical Driving, First Line Supervisor, and Personal Fitness Training.
Brendan McLaughlin - Director of Public Works
Brendan McLaughlin has served as the Director of Public Works since 2012. Prior to joining the Village, Mr. McLaughlin served as the Executive Director of the O’Hare Noise Compatibility Commission. Mr. McLaughlin also served the United City of Yorkville as Village Manager for three years and the City of Naperville for nine years in a variety of positions, with his final position as Director of Transportation, Engineering, and Development. He worked for Mid Valley Engineering for three years as a Project Manager. Mr. McLaughlin received his Masters of Public Administration (MPA) at Northern Illinois University and his Bachelors of Liberal Arts and Public Administration from St. Mary’s College in Winona, Minnesota. Mr. McLaughlin is also a Certified Arborist and is a member of the American Public Works Association (APWA).
