Dr. Jim Discipio, Village President
Dr. Jim Discipio is currently serving his third term as Village President and has been serving the Village since 2005. Dr. Discipio, a general dentist operates a practice, J.V. Discipio, D.D.S. & Assoc., Ltd. and has lived in the community for over four decades. As an active member of the community, he has previously served as trustee of the Illinois State Dental Society and past President of the West Suburban Branch of the Chicago Dental Society.  Mr. Discipio has also been actively involved with Little League baseball. He decided to run for office “at the urging of residents and with the desire to maintain the quality of life our residents deserve.” Prior to being elected Village President, Mr. Discipio served on the Village’s Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA), the Community Park District of La Grange Park Board and on the School District #102 Board.
 
Scott Mesick, Village Trustee
Scott Mesick was elected to the Village Board in 2007. He is a Product Manager at Iscar Metals.  Mr. Mesick has previously worked for Newcomer Cutting Tools and New World Products. He attended College of DuPage and also received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Air Force. Mr. Mesick also serves as the Federation Chief for the Prairie Trail Federation (Indian Guides/Princesses). Mr. Mesick ran for office because he wishes to be an active part “in the stability and future of our village”.  He would like to share his management, cooperative and intellectual skills with the community “to assure continuation of the best Village in the State.” Mr. Mesick would like to help promote economic development and economic stability. “I want my children and their generation to benefit from this stable community, as I have.” Prior to being elected Village Trustee, he served on the Village’s Zoning Board of Appeals. 
 
Patricia Rocco, Village Trustee
Patricia Rocco was elected to the Village Board in 2011. Ms. Rocco is an attorney and started her own law firm 13 years ago. She is also an instructor at De Paul University. Ms. Rocco received her Bachelors of Arts from Loyala University and her Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago.  She has been a member of the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission (ARDC) of the Supreme Court of Illinois since 1988. Ms. Rocco is a member of the League of Women Voters for the La Grange Area. She has served on the Lyons Township Community Advisory Committee, the La Grange Park Community Caucus and the Park Junior High School PTC. Ms. Rocco feels that serving as a Trustee on the Village Board is a “natural progression” of her long history of civic service.  She has said “I value my community and enjoy taking an active role in the governance of our Village”.  Her primary goal as Trustee is to base her decisions on what she believes is “in the best interest for out village and its residents”. Prior to being elected Village Trustee, Ms. Rocco served as the Chair of the La Grange Park Cool Village Commission.

Michael Sheehan, Village Trustee
Michael Sheehan was elected to the Village Board in 2013 and is a 25 year resident of La Grange Park. Mr. Sheehan has worked for Nicor Gas for over 30 years and currently serves in Customer Relations in the Customer Experience Department. He attended Morton College where he studied Computer Science. As an active member of the community, Mr. Sheehan has served as the President of the La Grange Park Lions Club and as a former chairperson, Vice-Chair and Treasurer of the La Grange Park Caucus Party. He has also served on the Pastoral Council of St. Louise De Marillac Church and continues to serve the Church in other capacities.
 
Mr. Sheehan decided to run for office because he has a “strong passion for La Grange Park and its residents and wanted to give back to the community.” He believes he can contribute his “dedication and experience to keep La Grange Park a great place to live both now and in the future.” Prior to being elected Village Trustee, Mr. Sheehan served on the Village’s Plan Commission for 18 years and on the Library Board for four years

James P. Kucera, Village Trustee
James Kucera was elected to the Village Board in 2013 and is a 20 year resident of La Grange Park. Mr. Kucera has worked for FirstMerit Financial Services, Inc. for 25 years and currently serves as a Financial Advisor. Previously, he worked for Wells Fargo Advisors as a Financial Advisor and for MB Financial Bank as a Branch Manager. Mr. Kucera received his Bachelors of Science in Finance from De Paul University and also holds a NASD Series 7 License and Series 66 Illinois Life and Health Insurance. As an active member of the community, Mr. Kucera currently serves on the Board of the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the La Grange Park Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Board of Interfaith Community Partners.
 
Mr. Kucera decided to run for office because throughout his residency, he has been deeply involved in local school and sports activities. Now that his children are away at college, he feels that serving as a Village Trustee provides an “opportunity to stay engaged and work to continue to shape the future path of the Village.” Prior to being elected Village Trustee, Mr. Kucera served on the Village’s Plan Commission.

Robert (Bob) Lautner, Village Trustee
Bob Lautner was elected to the Village Board in 2013. Mr. Lautner currently serves an Independent Career Consultant. He previously spent over 30 years developing and supporting retail technology services for Sears, Roebuck, and Company, Ace Hardware Corporation and IBM. He received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville with an emphasis on Business Education and Data Processing. Mr. Lautner also obtained his Career Development Facilitator Certificate in 2001 from Northern Illinois University. As an active member of the community, Mr. Lautner serves as a member of the Community Memorial Foundation Advisory Board. He also serves the La Grange Park Little League in a variety of capacities. Mr. Lautner previously served as the President of the Louisville Archeological Society in Louisville, Kentucky.
 
Mr. Lautner decided to run for office “with the encouragement of several friends, neighbors and colleagues.” He “felt a need to become involved again in Village government.” Mr. Lautner believes the “Village is an excellent community with even more potential” and is “looking forward to addressing the issues we are facing and helping establish the direction we should pursue that represents the views of our residents and protects the immediate, mid-range and long-term stability of the Village.” Prior to being elected Village Trustee, Mr. Lautner served both as President and Commissioner for the Community Park District of La Grange Park for 16 years.
 
Jamie Zaura, Village Trustee 
Jamie Zaura was appointed to the Board in 2015. Ms. Zaura is a licensed architect and co-founded her firm, 845 Design Group, over two years ago. 845  Design Group is a certified women owned business and specializes in both commercial and residential architectural design. Ms. Zaura received her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois of Chicago and soon after completed a Masters of Business Administration. Ms. Zaura was formerly a member of the Sustainable Commission and served on the La Grange Park Zoning Board of Appeals for four years.
 

Serving on the Board of Trustees has always been a goal of Ms. Zaura. As an architect with extensive experience working on public projects, she understands the importance of community involvement and creating an environment that will serve the community as well as future generations.  

Amanda Seidel- Village Clerk
Amanda Seidel was appointed to the position of Village Clerk for La Grange Park in 2012 and elected in 2013. Ms. Seidel has worked for a variety of legislators and campaigns, and has also volunteered for a wide variety of non-profit organizations.  She is currently the Director of Development for Open Doors Animal Rescue.  Ms. Seidel says “As a longtime resident of La Grange Park, I have had the pleasure to participate in community events such as the Run for the Roses.  I have been able to build relationships with many residents, business owners and community leaders throughout the Village. I have a love for my community and believe I possess all the qualifications you are looking for.”
