The Village of La Grange Park Finance Department seeks a full-time Fiscal Assistant. This position is primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service to residents. Duties include, but are not limited to, answering the Village Hall phone, payment processing, building permitting, vehicle sticker sales, and assisting with other finance department operations.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of customer service and payment processing experience in an office setting. Prior experience with a local government is a plus. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, some college level education is preferred. Experience with data entry and Microsoft Windows applications is required. Candidates should possess a high level of integrity and professionalism and demonstrate the ability to exercise discretion in working with confidential information. Ability to work well in a team environment and engage others with respect is essential.
The starting salary is $37,000 +/- depending on qualifications and experience. The position includes excellent benefits including health and life insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, participation in the IMRF pension and education reimbursement.
