Michael Sheehan was elected to the Village Board in 2013 and is a long time resident of La Grange Park. Mr. Sheehan retired after spending 35 years in the public utility sector. He attended Morton College where he studied Computer Science. As an active member of the community, Mr. Sheehan has served as the President of the La Grange Park Lions Club and as a former chairperson, Vice-Chair and Treasurer of the La Grange Park Caucus Party. He has also served on the Pastoral Council of St. Louise De Marillac Church and continues to serve the Church in other capacities.
Mr. Sheehan decided to run for office because he has a “strong passion for La Grange Park and its residents and wanted to give back to the community.” He believes he can contribute his “dedication and experience to keep La Grange Park a great place to live both now and in the future.” Prior to being elected Village Trustee, Mr. Sheehan served on the Village’s Plan Commission for 18 years and on the Library Board for four years.
