Robert (Bob) Lautner was elected to the Village Board in 2013. Mr. Lautner currently serves as an Independent Career Consultant. Previously he spent over 30 years developing and supporting retail technology services for Sears, Roebuck, and Company, Ace Hardware Corporation and IBM. He received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville with an emphasis on Business Education and Data Processing. Mr. Lautner also obtained his Career Development Facilitator Certificate in 2001 from Northern Illinois University. As an active member of the community, Mr. Lautner formerly served as a member of the Community Memorial Foundation Advisory Board. Formerly, he also served the La Grange Park Little League in a variety of capacities and as Past President of the Louisville Archaeological Society in Louisville, Kentucky.

Mr. Lautner decided to run for office “with the encouragement of several friends, neighbors and colleagues.” After serving the Community Park District of LaGrange Park for 16 years, both as President and Commissioner, he “felt a need to become involved again in Village government.” Mr. Lautner believes the “Village is an excellent community with even more potential” and is “motivated by addressing the issues we are facing and helping establish the direction we should pursue that represents the views of our residents, and protects the immediate, mid-range and long-term stability of the Village.”
